A Meeting with Rudi Lughofer

A little over a year ago, I was asked to interview Austrian bagpipe legend Rudi Lughofer in his hometown of Kremsmünster, Upper Austria. A bit nervous, I entered the “Hofschmiedhaus”, the house of Rudi and his family. Together with fellow piper, Michael Peter Vereno, and film-maker, Hubert Sielecki, we carried out a film interview with the man who became a main figure in the revival of Bohemian Bagpipes (Bock) in Austria and Bavaria....
