Pilgrimage to Galicia - My Two Summers with the Seivanes

I have a love affair with Galicia and, of course, its gaita galega. I am fortunate that Galicia, or at least some very wonderful people in that very special place, loves my family, and I them back. It has been just over 6 years that I received my first gaita from Álvaro and Xosé Seivane, and in that time I have purchased *ahem* many more gaitas, visited Galicia twice, and have become close with those wonderful people. I wish I could say it is because of my amazing gaita skills, alas that is DEFINITELY not it, though somehow, across a continent and an ocean, from Santa Barbara, California all the way to the northwest of Spain, the music and love of family has made us friends and even family.
