From Germany, we have Gesine Bänfer - it’s nigh on impossible to fit her multi-instrumental expertise and experience in a nutshell for this article! Gesine will be taking you on a journey through the centuries, first in a workshop on Early Folk Music, and then through a talk on tracing female bagpipers in history.

For the Saturday night concert, renowned baroque guitarist Steven Player joins Gesine in The Early Folk Duo, with a programme of baroque period folk music.
